about

--- also available at lunarheaven.bandcamp.com/album/pressure-of-infinity ---

a series of five audio textures that speak from the soul, searching for the transcendental and yearning for the unreachable that exists within the infinity.
an expression of simultaneous negative pressure and affirmations of both the real and the unreal.
devoid of words, only feeling.

[Release Notes:]
all five songs were recorded in order in a single take. recording + first mixes were done on august 24th. final mixes were dumped into Audacity and given final touches on august 25th.
each composition is a solo guitar performance.

"Thetaton" and "Ollessia" feature a "dual octave" effect, in which the master tracks from the first set of mixes (the first initial "demo" mix that i render in FL, after doing the initial mixing, adding effects, etc.) are layered in between the "master" mixes in Audacity, then the pitch of the first mix is brought down two octaves and is volume-adjusted to harmonize (or produce dissonance) with the main mix.
each track uses the effect to different extremes based on the overall mood that i dissected from the pieces during the mixing process.
this effect is also used occasionally during sections of "Cataclysmic Space 2" to various effect. "Pressure of Infinity" uses this technique as well, but the pitch of the extra mix is raised by three octaves instead of lowered by two, although the pitch is shifted down two octaves at the end.

"Thetaton", "Ollessia", and "Pressure of Infinity" are neo-classical black metal / ambient drone quasi-improvisations; "Cataclysmic Space 1" and "Cataclysmic Space 2" are more oriented towards free jazz, grindcore, and avant-garde no-wave music.
