about

"Colossus seems to hold the entire static frustration of its companion within a place at its core, but approaches the listener with a controlled yet forceful presence. If Berserker Generator is panic and rebellion, Colossus is a true expression of personal freedom from all pain. There is an acknowledgement of suffering, fear, and hate, yet the deliberately paced and accented moments of intensity on Colossus create an experience that is almost soothing. While suffering can lead to growth, it’s important to seek a healing process, and this album feels like the sonic embodiment of absorbing one’s struggles and moving beyond them without forgetting what has been left behind."

overdriven and trance-inducing vaporized doom metal.

an angelic orchestra performing a concert within a massive demonic venue.
a slow, medtitative march with feet lined with iron.
the static sings a story. the marching band follows. the soldiers walk single file into hell with belief that we'll be okay.

the entire world jumps at once and the landing cracks the earth. we jump into the cracks and become one with the earth. we build a new life within the fissure. we liberate ourselves and become free.

[Release Notes:]

this album harkens back to the solarinception-style soundscapes and merges it with powerful digi-drum patterns, melding short bursts of speed with slow and raw patterns that shift in very slight ways.
layer upon layer of dense sound, and supercharged with lots of overdrive and bass, packed into a denser and heavier form of the "vapor metal" style from Neoauralia Alchemica. an exercise in resistance, emotion, impending doom, and resurging life.
