On that clear sky night, I walk to the lake submerged in shadow.
In the reflection of the water, an eye stares into my soul.

It is a full moon tonight.
The pale light from her body.
I can't look away.

I can hear her song. "Yes... it's her... the woman of the moon."
She calls me toward, and I feel my blood turn into ice.

"Join me beneath the surface."

I cannot resist. Her voice...
In this moment, she was all I desired.

Into the lake I step.
I walk forward until head submerged.

"The woman of the moon... I want to be with her... Forever."

The water and I become one.
The woman's song turns into whispers.

"Yes, come to me. Take my hand and embrace the water. Let it wash over your senses, until your final breath."

It was the last thing I ever heard, and it was beautiful.

And then was I,
Just a body in the reflection
Of the pale moon's eye.
